Amazon made the Quick desktop application generally available on macOS and Windows and launched a new Quick activity feed on iOS and Android, according to a September 9, 2026 update to an article originally published April 28. Agents can continue working in the background when a laptop is closed, while the mobile feed surfaces unresolved items that require human judgment.
The desktop app connects with local files, calendars, email and other applications, and Amazon says it learns from each session to develop a more personalized understanding of a user’s work. Quick supports services including Slack, Teams, Outlook, Gmail, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Asana and Jira, and can automate browser-based workflows or connect with developer tools such as Kiro CLI and Claude Code. Amazon says Quick grounds answers in an organization’s data and builds a personal knowledge graph covering preferences, contacts and business context.
On mobile, chats, folders and other content are synchronized with the desktop apps. The activity feed combines signals from email, messaging, customer relationship management systems, calendars and other connected services into one prioritized view. Items that agents resolve independently disappear from the feed, leaving a queue of decisions requiring a person’s attention on the available device.
Amazon also described several related Quick capabilities. Custom app creation is in preview, allowing users to request apps, dashboards and web pages in natural language. Tools for generating documents, presentations, infographics and images are available, as are native integrations with Google Workspace, Zoom, Airtable, Dropbox and Microsoft Teams. Microsoft 365 extensions for Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel remain in preview.
LabCorp, Southwest Airlines and PGA Tour used the desktop app during its preview, Amazon said. Southwest Airlines vice president Justin Bundick said the company is using Quick to let teams ask complex questions in natural language and receive grounded answers, including for market analytics. His assessment that Quick significantly reduces time to insight represents Southwest’s experience with the product, rather than an independently established result.
Amazon cited additional customer and internal results for the broader Quick service. The company said Quick saves 3M sales representatives more than five hours per week, reduced the time Amazon Books leaders spent developing coordination documents by 80%, and helped engineering cut factory test times by 67%. Amazon also said Quick does not use a customer’s data to train another customer’s model.
